Autumn in Austin.

Where is the fall weather? Apparently not in Austin, as it has been in the mid-80s all week! On Tuesday, I had a field trip to downtown Austin. I opted for a simple black dress and booties, both from Wet Seal.

Austin Street Style: Phantogram.

A couple months ago, I posted a video of my new favorites, Phantogram (go have a listen if you don't know them). Seriously, they were all I listened to this summer. Two nights ago, I was lucky enough to hear them play in Austin at the Mohawk. Not only was the show amazingly spectacular in the only way indie/psychedelic/hip-hop music could be, but afterwards, keyboardist and singer Sarah Barthel along with fellow bandmate, guitarist Josh Carter, sold the band's merchandise. I took the opportunity to get an autograph and photo with the stunning Sarah.

Easily my favorite music moment in Austin yet. I felt like a ten-year-old, gushing over their music and in awe of meeting the band.

Through the Decades Fashion Show.

Last Friday, September 10th, I had the privilege of sitting front-row at the Through the Decades Fashion Show at the Art Museum of Austin. Presented by the Art Institute of Austin's Event and Fashion Show Production Class of 2010, the show was comprised of 22 looks that spanned of a fashion timeline from the early 1900s to present day and beyond.

Before the show, I enjoyed delicious food provided by the culinary students from the Art Institute while listening to local band The FreeFlow.

Absolutely delish!

The FreeFlow played a medley of Bob Marley hits.

The show began at 7:30, and it was an absolute delight to be sitting in the front-row. As a definitive restrospect, the show was impressive, especially since the students only had 9 weeks to organize the event. Their hard work paid off, as I felt like I had gone on a journey through a fashion time capsule.
